Whoa... Rental house advances!
New Delhi: A recent study has revealed that landlords in six of the country's metro cities have collected a total of ₹1.26 lakh crore from tenants as advances (security deposits). The firm 'NoBroker' conducted the study across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune to gather these details. Landlords collected the highest amounts in Mumbai (₹41,156 crore) and Bengaluru (₹31,628 crore) in the form of advances from tenants.
