270 Degree Colleges Face Action Over Low Admissions
Amaravati: The Higher Education Council is issuing notices to private degree colleges that do not have the minimum admissions. Out of about 1,200 private degree colleges across the state, less than 25 percent admissions are being registered in 270 colleges. With this, the Higher Education Council is seeking an explanation as to why admissions to these colleges should continue. The Higher Education Council is setting up a committee to seek an explanation from the colleges. The college managements will have to give an explanation before the committee.
