52 Cases in Two Years
Hyderabad In the state, the level of corruption involving Sub-Registrars appears to be rising in tandem with the increasing value of land assets. According to statistics from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), the Registration Department currently ranks third among the government departments most prone to corruption. The Revenue and Police departments occupy the top two spots. Between 2024 and April 2026, approximately 15 Sub-Registrars belonging to the Registration Department were arrested, and 52 cases were registered. It is a well-known fact that, recently in Warangal, two Sub-Registrars were caught simultaneously.
