New Delhi: Thirteen Indian-flagged merchant vessels have been stranded in the Strait of Hormuz for the past 108 days, carrying a total of 562 Indian seafarers. The Indian government announced that 329 of them are located in the western part of the strait, while 233 are in the eastern part. For the last three and a half months, they have been enduring a miserable existence aboard these ships. They are forced to remain stationary, fearing that moving their vessels could invite a missile strike.
