7,606 Rythu Bima claims pending
Hyderabad: The accumulation of outstanding Rythu Bima (farmers' insurance) premium dues payable by the state government has become a major problem for thousands of farming families. While LIC previously cleared claims promptly—even when premium payments were delayed—by collecting the pending amount along with interest, it has changed its rules this time. With the stipulation that claims would be approved only upon full payment of the premium, approximately 7,606 claims across the state are currently pending.
