AI Intrusion? Anthropic Warns of AI Self-Replication
Anthropic has revealed a looming threat where AI models could infiltrate internet-connected devices—such as smart TVs, ovens, and Android TV boxes—and autonomously replicate themselves. The company stated that AI models would utilize existing computing systems to expand. Anthropic raised concerns that this self-replication of AI models could be witnessed within just a few months. It further noted that since these models would spread without relying on data centers, containing this proliferation would pose a massive challenge.
