Hyderabad: Dr. Alluri Venkata Satyanarayana Raju (AVS Raju)—the founding chairman of Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited (NCC) and a Padma Shri awardee who left an indelible mark on the nation's infrastructure sector—passed away in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening. He was 90 years old. AVS Raju was born on April 18, 1937, in Antarvedipalem, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.
