Appointment of Bar Council committees is invalid
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has ruled that the appointment of Bar Council committees through a nomination process is invalid. The Court has made it clear that elections must be conducted in accordance with the law. These remarks were made on Friday during the hearing of a petition challenging the interim stay imposed by the Bar Council of India (BCI) regarding the appointment of committees for the Telangana Bar Council.
