Ban on Cauliflower Dishes in Tirumala
The TTD has banned cauliflower (Gobi) dishes in Tirumala. As part of efforts to safeguard the health of devotees, Chinese dishes had already been banned in restaurants and fast-food centers within Tirumala. TTD Deputy Executive Officer (Health) Somannarayana held a meeting on Friday with the operators of restaurants, hotels, and fast-food centers in the area. He announced that, following the recent detection of worms in cauliflower, the use of cauliflower is being temporarily banned in the interest of the devotees' health and well-being.
