CBG Plants in Nellore and Kurnool
Amaravati: As part of efforts to strengthen the renewable energy sector, the state government has approved two additional Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants. One plant, with a capacity of 20 tonnes per day (TPD), will be set up in the S.P. Nellore district's AS Peta mandal. Permission has also been granted for a 20 TPD capacity plant in the Krishnagiri mandal of Kurnool district. Additionally, the government has given the green signal for two large-scale hybrid projects—combining wind and solar power—with capacities of 200 MW and 80 MW, to be established in the Krishnagiri and Veldurthi mandals of Kurnool district.
