'Bhogapuram' Designated as Emergency Services Location
Amaravati: The State Government has officially designated the Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport as a location for emergency services. In this regard, M.T. Krishna Babu, Special Chief Secretary of the Infrastructure and Investment Department, issued a notification on Tuesday. With this announcement, the Bhogapuram Airport has come under the jurisdiction of central security forces. GMR Group had written to the State Airport Development Corporation requesting that the airport be brought under the purview of the Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971. Acting on this request, the government issued the notification.
