Vijay’s Cabinet Strength Reaches 35
The number of members in Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s cabinet has reached 35. Following expressions of willingness by the VCK and IUML parties to join the Vijay administration, two MLAs representing these parties—Vanniyarusu (Dindivanam) and Shahjahan (Papanasam)—were sworn in as ministers on Friday. State Governor R.V. Arlekar administered the oath of office to them during a special ceremony held at the Lok Bhavan. With 33 ministers already serving in Vijay’s cabinet, the induction of these two members has brought the total strength of the cabinet to 35.
