SIR After 22 Years The Election Commission has revised the voter list in Bihar under the SIR after a gap of nearly 22 years. Following the completion of the SIR, the Commission published the final voter list on Tuesday. The draft voter lists were released by the Election Commission on August 1. Claims and objections from individuals and political parties were subsequently accepted until September 1st. The draft list includes 7.24 crore voters. In light of the Election Commission's directive, the final voter list for all 14 Assembly constituencies in Patna district was published today as part of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls 2025, based on the eligibility date of 01.07.2025. According to this, the total number of voters is 4,815,294, an increase of 163,600 from the total number of voters included in the draft list published on August 1st, 2025. The District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate, Patna, expressed satisfaction over the significant increase in the number of voters and appealed to all stakeholders for active participation in the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections, 2025. When will the election date be announced? According to sources, the Election Commission is expected to announce the dates for the Bihar Assembly elections next week.
