CBI Registers FIR Against Anil Ambani
The CBI is closing in on Anil Ambani, Chairman of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, having registered an FIR against him. The CBI has registered FIRs against Anil Ambani, the group's former MD Satish Seth, and certain unidentified government officials. These FIRs were filed based on a written complaint from LIC, alleging that between April 2012 and March 2018, they diverted and misappropriated funds amounting to ₹2,684.57 crore—raised through Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) for the business needs of various group companies.
