Indian Appointed as Disney's First CTO
Global media and entertainment giant The Walt Disney Company has appointed Karandeep Anand, an Indian national, as its first Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He is scheduled to assume the role on the 2nd of next month and will report directly to Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro. An alumnus of IIIT Hyderabad (where he earned a degree in Computer Science), Anand previously served as the CEO of the generative AI chatbot company Character.AI. Before that, he held key positions at Microsoft and Meta (Facebook's parent company).
