Amaravati: "The objective of 'MERIT' is to boost state revenue by developing the mining sector—with a focus on environmental conservation—through the maximum utilization of technology. Officials must work towards making the state's mining sector the best in the country," said Minister Kollu Ravindra. During the governing body meeting of the Mineral Exploration, Research and Innovation Trust (MERIT) held at the Secretariat, key decisions were taken to simplify the mining permit process and identify new mineral reserves.
