Emergency-like rule in the state
Hyderabad: BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao stated that an emergency-like administration prevails in the state. He criticized the government for using police crackdowns against opposition parties and students who raise their voices over various issues. Osmania University (OU) police placed Ramchander Rao under house arrest at his residence in Tarnaka as he was setting out to support the protest by students of the Ramanthapur Government Polytechnic College. Following this, party leaders and activists staged a protest.
