Good News for DWCRA Women
Andhra Pradesh: The government has announced good news for DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) women who wish to start small-scale businesses. Through the 'Stree Nidhi' scheme, the government will provide an additional loan of up to ₹200,000, over and above the ₹100,000 currently being disbursed. For women belonging to SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) categories, the loan amount will be up to ₹400,000. This opportunity is available exclusively to those who have a consistent track record of repaying their previous loans on time. Starting tomorrow, SERP officials will conduct an awareness campaign for one month regarding this initiative and will select 15 eligible women from each Village Organization.
