Amaravati: GD Nellore MLA Thomas visited the TDP central office on Friday. A video went viral in which Thomas commented that even minor incidents—including the illegal transportation of soil—are highlighted whenever they occur in the constituencies of Dalit MLAs, whereas nothing is said about whatever happens in the constituencies of upper-caste MLAs. The party high command took serious exception to these remarks. Thomas met with the party's State President, Palla Srinivasa Rao, and offered an explanation regarding the comments he had made.
