Massive 37-Kilogram Fish Caught in Net
This fish weighs a staggering 37 kilograms; its head alone accounts for 3 kilograms. On Sunday, fishermen in Konguvarigudem—located in the Jangareddygudem Mandal of Eluru district—struck a rich haul in the Errakaluva canal. After a hiatus of six months, the fishermen ventured out to fish and were rewarded with this massive catch. When the fish were brought to Putlagatlagudem for sale, a local resident named Muvva Abhiram purchased the 37-kilogram specimen for Rs 9,250.
