Immediate payment of ₹59,000 crore dues to Singareni demanded
Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Workers' Union has expressed outrage over the government's indifference regarding the ₹59,000 crore in outstanding dues owed to Singareni by Genco and Transco. The union warned that it would halt coal supplies to these power utilities if the dues were not released immediately. It further stated that, if necessary, workers would stage protests at the coal mines and bring production to a standstill. Pressing this demand, Singareni workers held a 'Chalo Hyderabad' protest on Tuesday in front of Vidyut Soudha in Somajiguda.
