Political barbs are being traded over the *Tiranga* (tricolour) pocket square worn by Prime Minister Modi during the Independence Day celebrations. The controversy stems from the fact that he wore the pocket square—featuring the colours of the Indian national flag—upside down. On the Nehru jacket he wore, the green band of the pocket square appeared at the top, while the saffron band was at the bottom. The Congress party took a dig at this error; Congress leader Pawan Khera questioned whether the Independence Day being celebrated was India's or Ireland's.
