India is known for its women power: Om Birla
Andhra Pradesh: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that women's leadership in India began centuries ago. He was speaking at the ongoing Women's Empowerment Conference in Tirupati. He said, "Respecting women is a tradition that has been going on since the beginning. They played a key role in the freedom struggle as well. They broke social bonds and started many movements. India has emerged as an important country in the world because of women's power."
