Political turmoil has intensified over the India-Pakistan cricket match in the Asia Cup. After the Jammu and Kashmir attack, opposition parties called it an insult to the martyrs and accused the government of commercializing patriotism. Uddhav Thackeray and Owaisi questioned the timing of the match. The wife of businessman Shubham, who was killed in the Pahalgam attack, also appealed for a public boycott of the match and accused the BCCI of playing with the sentiments of the victim families.
