Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said at the conclusion of the 11th CPA India Region Conference in Bengaluru that the ongoing deadlocks in Parliament and assemblies are worrisome and dialogue is necessary to prevent them. He suggested creating a National Legislative Index based on the performance of states and emphasized on healthy competition. Birla called for realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047, calling democratic traditions the strength of India.
