India's EV market by 2030
New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari stated that the country's electric vehicle (EV) market is likely to grow to ₹20 lakh crore by 2030 and generate five crore jobs by that time. Gadkari made these remarks while participating in a meeting organized by the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development. He noted that there are currently 57 lakh registered electric vehicles in the country, holding a market share of 7 percent.
