IndiGo Flight Circles in Mid-Air
Renigunta: Due to adverse weather conditions caused by a cyclone, an IndiGo flight arriving from Vijayawada could not land at Tirupati Airport and was subsequently diverted to Chennai. An IndiGo flight that departed from Vijayawada at 2:45 PM on Friday was scheduled to arrive in Tirupati at 3:20 PM. However, due to heavy rain and strong winds in the Tirupati area, conditions were not suitable for landing. Consequently, the aircraft circled in the air for about an hour before making an emergency landing at Chennai Airport at 4:30 PM.
