Malayappa as 'Dancing Krishna' on the Chandra Prabha Vahanam
Tirumala: As part of the Navaratri Brahmotsavams in Tirumala, Lord Malayappa Swamy was taken in a procession on the Surya Prabha and Chandra Prabha Vahanams (divine vehicles) on Sunday. In the evening, the Lord, adorned as 'Nartana Krishna' (Dancing Krishna), was carried on the Chandra Prabha Vahanam through the streets, bestowing his blessings upon the devotees. Earlier in the day, after special offerings were made at the Vahana Mandapam, the Lord was placed upon the Surya Prabha Vahanam and taken in a procession. The procession on the Surya Prabha Vahanam, which typically lasts for two hours, continued for an additional 40 minutes, providing the devotees with a highly satisfying *darshan*.
