NIMS Sets Record with 2,000 Kidney Transplants
Hyderabad: The Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) has crossed another historic milestone. It has set a record as the first government hospital in the southern states to successfully perform 2,000 kidney transplants. The institute achieved this feat on Thursday night by performing a kidney transplant on a 20-year-old youth from Sangareddy. Not only does it stand as one of the leading medical institutions in the country for performing the highest number of kidney transplant surgeries, but it has also secured the third position overall.
