‘No PILs Allowed on Employee Service Matters’
Amaravati: The High Court bench dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that sought orders granting 180 days of child care leave and five days of additional casual leave to female employees working in the High Court and the district judiciary. The court noted that Public Interest Litigations (PILs) cannot be filed regarding matters concerning employee service conditions, citing clear Supreme Court rulings on the issue. Consequently, the PIL was dismissed as not maintainable.
