One lakh people to die from cancer in 2023!
Breast cancer cases in India are increasing at an alarming rate. The ‘Lancet’ report said that between 1990 and 2023, these cases increased by 477% and deaths by 352%. In 2023 alone, 2.03 lakh cases and one lakh deaths occurred in the country. It is estimated that these cases will reach 35 lakh worldwide by 2050. Researchers at the University of Washington have warned that awareness and early testing for this disease are essential.
