Pulse cultivation reduced in Telangana
Telangana: The area under pulses cultivation has decreased in the state this year. Last year, pulses were cultivated in 8,25,236 acres, but this year it has been limited to 5,83,736 acres. It seems that the area under these crops has decreased due to poor rainfall conditions, price fluctuations, marketing problems, increase in crop transportation costs, and lack of storage facilities. Among pulses, lentils, peas, and lentils are being cultivated mostly in the state.
