'Punggol' in Amaravati
Amaravati: State Minister for IT and Education, Lokesh, has announced that an integrated township—modeled after the modern Punggol district in Singapore—will be developed within the capital city of Amaravati. He stated that this would stand as a role model township, not only for Andhra Pradesh but for the entire nation. Currently on a visit to Singapore, he participated on Monday in a meeting of the Joint Implementation Steering Committee (JISC), which operates under the aegis of the local Department of Trade and Industry.
