A rare animal was spotted on Thursday morning in Seemakonda village, Pedabayalu Mandal, Alluri Sitarama Raju district. Locals identified it as an otter (often referred to locally as a 'water dog' or 'water cat'). These animals are commonly found in the Tungabhadra Reservoir in Karnataka.
