Rs 500 bonus henceforth applicable to only seven specific paddy varieties!
Hyderabad: The state government has taken a crucial decision regarding paddy farmers in Telangana. In fulfillment of an election promise, the government has decided to restrict the announced Rs 500 bonus to only seven officially recognized varieties of fine-grain paddy. To this end, the government released a list of seven eligible, specialized seed varieties after scientifically analyzing cultivation needs and market demand, both domestically and internationally.
