Sabalenka into Semis
Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka is now just two steps away from achieving a hat-trick of titles at the US Open. The top-seeded player from Belarus has advanced to the semi-finals. In a fiercely contested singles quarterfinal on Tuesday, world number one Sabalenka battled to a 7-6 (7-1), 3-6, 7-6 (10-7) victory over Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova (Czech Republic). Meanwhile, men's top seed Alexander Zverev, Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, and fourth seed Coco Gauff stormed into the quarterfinals.
