Sangameshwara Temple Emerges from Submergence!
The historic Sangameshwara temple, located near Somashila in Kollapur Mandal, Nagarkurnool district, has emerged from the waters of the Krishna River ahead of schedule. Typically visible only at the onset of summer, this ancient Shaivite shrine is accessible to devotees as early as October this year. Chief Priest Telakapalli Raghu Ramaiah Sharma noted that this is only the third time in the last 25 years that the temple has surfaced from its submerged state so early. He stated that devotees had the opportunity to worship Lord Sangameshwara during the holy month of Karthika only in the years 2002, 2015, and 2024.
