Andhra Pradesh: A stick fight has started in Devaragattu, Kurnool (D) and Holagunda (M). As part of the Banni festival on the occasion of Dussehra, the ceremonial idols of Malamma Malleswara Swamy are being paraded. To get them, devotees from 3 villages on one side and devotees from 7 villages on the other are fighting with sticks. A large number of people have gathered to watch this fight. 800 police personnel are maintaining security to prevent violence during the festival.
