2026 Holiday List Released
The Centre has released the list of official holidays for the year 2026. It includes general and optional holidays for government offices. There are 14 general holidays (Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, Christmas, Dussehra, Diwali, Good Friday, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Zuha, Mahavir Jayanti, Muharram, Eid e Milad) and 12 optional holidays. These are applicable across the country.
