Is India on the list of ‘Third World’ countries?
It is known that Trump has announced that he will stop immigration from Third World countries. The term ‘Third World’ became popular during the Cold War. At that time, the US-NATO countries were the First World, the Soviet Union-affiliated countries were the Second World, and the poor countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America that did not join any side were called ‘Third World’. According to the UN LDCs list, there are 44 countries in this. India is not among them.
