2500 Employees Laid Off at TCS Pune Unit Amid Ongoing IT Job Cuts
New Delhi: Job cuts in IT companies continue. The Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), which represents IT employees at the national level, has complained to the Maharashtra government that TCS has laid off 2,500 people in its Pune unit. The association's national president, Harpreet Singh Saluja, has written a letter to Maharashtra CM Fadnavis, seeking immediate intervention in the matter and protecting the employees. He said that most of them are mid and senior employees above the age of 40.
