The situation in Bareilly remains sensitive following the September 26th communal violence and the subsequent "I Love Mohammad" slogans. However, the Bareilly District Magistrate wrote to the Lucknow Police Commissioner and police chiefs of other districts, instructing them not to allow any political representatives to enter Bareilly without permission. The three Samajwadi Party MPs have sat on the road at the Ghazipur border in Delhi, and the police are trying to persuade them. Amla Samajwadi Party MP Neeraj Maurya has been detained by the police. I don't know how my going there will worsen the situation. Even our leader Akhilesh Yadav is aware that we're not being allowed to go." According to reports, a Samajwadi Party delegation will leave for Bareilly shortly. Three Samajwadi Party MPs from Delhi, Harendra Malik, Iqra Hasan, and Mohibullah Nadvi, will be traveling to Bareilly. The delegation is scheduled to meet the DIG and Commissioner of Bareilly division. Due to this, the police have increased their vigilance. According to reports, the Sambhal police went on alert as soon as they received information about MP Barq's departure to Bareilly. The Nakhasa and Raisatti police stations have placed guards at his Deepa Sarai residence. Saying "I love Mohammed" is a constitutional right, just as it is a right to say "I love Mahadev" and "I love Shri Ram."
