The situation in Bareilly remains sensitive following the September 26th communal violence and the subsequent "I Love Mohammad" slogans. Politics has now erupted over the Bareilly violence, with a Samajwadi Party delegation scheduled to depart from Delhi for Bareilly soon. Previously, a delegation of several MPs, including SP leader and Leader of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, was scheduled to travel to Bareilly. However, the Bareilly District Magistrate wrote to the Lucknow Police Commissioner and police chiefs of other districts, instructing them not to allow any political representatives to enter Bareilly without permission. The three Samajwadi Party MPs have sat on the road at the Ghazipur border in Delhi, and the police are trying to persuade them. Amla Samajwadi Party MP Neeraj Maurya has been detained by the police. Mata Prasad Pandey has been placed under house arrest. Police have deployed guards at the home of Samajwadi Party Leader of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, placing him under house arrest. Pandey attempted to leave his home in Lucknow but was detained by police. Mata Prasad Pandey said, "They're not letting us go. A community in Bareilly is scared, and other members of our group have also been stopped. The police aren't letting us go right now, but we'll go to Bareilly soon. I don't know how my going there will worsen the situation. Even our leader Akhilesh Yadav is aware that we're not being allowed to go." According to reports, a Samajwadi Party delegation will leave for Bareilly shortly. Three Samajwadi Party MPs from Delhi, Harendra Malik, Iqra Hasan, and Mohibullah Nadvi, will be traveling to Bareilly. Barq Stopped in Sambhal, Guards Placed Outside Home Sambhal MP Ziaur Rahman Barq has been included in the delegation to participate in a Samajwadi Party (SP) divisional-level program. The delegation is scheduled to meet the DIG and Commissioner of Bareilly division. Due to this, the police have increased their vigilance. According to reports, the Sambhal police went on alert as soon as they received information about MP Barq's departure to Bareilly. The Nakhasa and Raisatti police stations have placed guards at his Deepa Sarai residence. We are being prevented from going to Bareilly; we are going there to speak to those who are afraid of the administration. Saying "I love Mohammed" is a constitutional right, just as it is a right to say "I love Mahadev" and "I love Shri Ram." Today, the police administration is working under pressure from the government, but they should not forget that their constitutional responsibility is to protect the rights of the people. You can guess what is happening in Uttar Pradesh from the Chief Minister's language. Whose denting and painting is he talking about? He should not forget that the country is governed by the Constitution; no one should harbor any misunderstandings. SP leader Mata Prasad House Arrest SP MP Harendra Malik, stopped at the Ghazipur border, said: "Whenever we go anywhere, the police stop us. This road not only leads to Bareilly but also to Rampur and Moradabad. Today, the police are working under pressure from the government, and public representatives are being prevented from meeting the people." They couldn't stop incidents like the one in Pahalgam, and they're stopping us. The administration fears that the situation could escalate when SP representatives arrive in Bareilly, and in view of this, special surveillance is being maintained on the MP's movements. Citing security reasons, local police have begun monitoring the MP's movements. The district administration is closely monitoring the situation. Police officials have clarified that law and order will not be allowed to deteriorate under any circumstances.
