Chennai: The Congress party has hit a jackpot in Tamil Nadu. TVK Chief and Chief Minister Vijay has agreed to allocate the Rajya Sabha seat—which fell vacant following the resignation of AIADMK leader and former Minister C.V. Shanmugam—to the Congress party. On Wednesday evening, Vijay announced that the seat would be given to their ally, the Congress, in the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for the 18th of this month.
