Thefts Targeting EV Charging Stations
Hyderabad: Thieves have set their sights on public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Hyderabad. Taking advantage of the lack of security personnel at charging stations in various parts of the city, thieves are stealing highly valuable copper cables and charging guns. These thefts have occurred at seven charging stations located in the areas of LB Nagar, Nagole, Uppal, Amberpet, Abids, Gajularamaram, and Kukatpally. TGREDCO officials have identified that a single gang, comprising four members, was responsible for the thefts at four of these locations.
