Break on New Subscriptions to Gold Funds
New Delhi: Around 17 mutual fund houses—including SBI Mutual Fund (MF), HDFC MF, ICICI Prudential MF, and Kotak MF—have taken an unexpected decision during the festive season. Starting Friday, they have temporarily halted new subscriptions to their Gold Fund of Funds (FoF). Some of these firms have also imposed similar restrictions on their Silver FoFs. In their respective statements, the fund houses indicated that this suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
