Fresh Tariff Onslaught on India!
India is once again facing the threat of additional tariffs. The United States is planning to impose a 12.5% additional duty on goods exported from India. It cites the use of forced labor in the manufacturing of these export goods as the reason for this move. The stance taken by the superpower comes as a surprise, particularly at a time when both nations are actively working to finalize a crucial trade agreement. However, India has clarified that this is not the final decision regarding the additional tariffs and that it will continue its discussions with the U.S. as usual.
