Government Focuses Special Attention on Gurukuls and Hostels
Hyderabad: The state government has directed special attention toward further strengthening the administration and management of Gurukuls (residential schools) and welfare hostels across the state. It has decided to release funds on a monthly basis henceforth, to ensure the timely payment of diet (food) and cosmetic allowances for students, as well as the rental charges for hostel buildings. In furtherance of this initiative, the government released funds amounting to ₹221.24 crore on Sunday. These funds will be utilized for institutions operating under the purview of the Education Department, as well as the welfare departments for SCs, STs, BCs, and Minorities.
