Heatwave Hits India's Rice Crops!
New Delhi: The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) have warned that extreme heatwaves are poised to pose a severe threat to agricultural laborers and rice production in India. They specifically noted that production is expected to decline significantly in the densely populated river basins of the Ganges and the Indus.
