Husband Attacks Female Lawyer with a Knife; Supreme Court Expresses Outrage
New Delhi: The Supreme Court—the country's apex judicial body—has expressed its outrage over an incident in which a husband attacked a female lawyer with a knife. The Court has taken *suo motu* cognizance of the incident. On Monday, a bench comprising Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi conducted a brief hearing on the matter. The bench directed the Delhi Police Commissioner to register a case and ensure that the investigation is conducted by senior female officers.
