Record-High Marine Product Exports
Despite the backdrop of international tensions, India's marine product exports reached a record high during the last financial year (2025-26). The Union Ministry of Commerce reported that in the financial year 2025-26—which concluded in March—India exported a record volume of 19.32 lakh tonnes of marine products, valued at $8.28 billion (approximately ₹72,325 crore). This represents an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the previous financial year.
